IWOKRAMA, GUAYANA 
 

An ecotourism manager is sought to oversee the tourist activities at the Iwokrama International Centre for Rainforest Conservation & Development (ICC), which is set in one million acres of Guyana's protected tropical rainforest. 
 

The post holder will: 
 

• Focus on making the ecotourism business a commercial success and develop new tourist activities
• Line manage and work with the local staff to build their skills  and ensure that the quality of service, accommodation and hospitality meets the expectations of international guests
• Liaise with the head of site operations to ensure that ecological activities are managed and organised in a way that maximises visitor enjoyment

The position would be ideal for an individual (or a couple) who have a real interest in conservation and can demonstrate an ability to develop an eco-tourism business in a remote community.
